How do you reduce staff turnover in hospitality?
The most effective way to reduce staff turnover is to find out why people are thinking about leaving before they actually go.
Most staff will not tell a manager directly, but they will respond honestly to an anonymous survey.

How does an anonymous staff survey work?
Each month, your team receives a short survey covering six areas: Pressure, Recognition, Psychological Safety, Wellbeing, Culture and Growth.
They respond privately on any device. You never see individual answers, only the aggregated scores for each area and how those scores are changing over time.
On Partner and Founder plans, you also receive an AI-written summary and a breakdown of the most common causes behind any low scores.

What is flight risk detection?
Flight risk detection identifies when your team's overall wellbeing scores have been declining consistently across two or more months.
Rather than waiting until someone resigns, SpeakEasy flags when the pattern of scores across your team suggests elevated risk, giving you time to act.
All responses are fully anonymous, flight risk is always shown at team level, never attributed to any individual.

Does SpeakEasy work for small hospitality businesses?
Yes. SpeakEasy is designed for independent operators, hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, guesthouses and short-let properties.
You do not need a large team or an HR department. As long as you have at least five staff responding to the survey, the product works. Many of our properties are owner-operated venues where the manager is also the one reading the scores.

Will my staff actually respond honestly to a survey?
Only if they trust it is genuinely anonymous. SpeakEasy never shows individual responses, scores are only displayed once a minimum of five responses have been collected, so no one can be identified from their answers.
Staff are told this upfront. In our experience, anonymity is the single biggest factor in whether teams respond honestly, which is why the entire product is built around it.
We purposely ensured there is no tracking of anyway, including, but not limited to, IP or browser tracking.

How many staff do I need for SpeakEasy to work?
SpeakEasy requires a minimum of five responses before any scores are displayed. This protects anonymity, with fewer than five responses, individual answers could potentially be identified. There is no upper limit.
The product works for small independent venues with a handful of staff as well as larger properties with full teams.

How is SpeakEasy different from a general employee survey tool?
General survey tools are built for HR teams in large organisations. They require setup, administration and someone to interpret the results. SpeakEasy is built specifically for independent hospitality operators who do not have a dedicated HR function.
It runs automatically every month, scores are calculated for you and alerts are sent when something needs your attention. It also connects directly to your Guest Connection Score, so you can see the relationship between how your team feels and how your guests score their experience.

How quickly will I see results?
Your first scores appear after the first monthly survey closes. You will have a baseline picture of how your team is feeling within the first four weeks. Trends, the changes that tell you whether things are improving or getting worse, become visible after two to three months of data.
Flight risk detection and cause breakdowns become more accurate the longer the product runs, as it builds a picture of each staff member's pattern over time.
